Welcome to our home! This is actually our home – not a second house or investment property. We travel during the summer to visit family who lives all around the country. We rent out our home so that visitors can experience everything we love about Bend from the comforts and amenities of home. We hope you enjoy your time here, but please take a few minutes to read about our home. If you have any questions or problems, reach out to us at 502.641.6184 or 714.585.7986. Thank you!

Parking is not permitting on Purcell Blvd due to the addition of bike lines. You can find more info here. This is strictly enforced. Please park on Ocker Dr.

Front Door:
Looking for your door code? Check your messages in your booking app in a message titled “Your reservation details”.

The front door will self lock automatically 1 minute after being opened. If you hear it beeping, that means it is trying to lock but it is jammed. This happens sometimes when the door is not all the way closed. Fully close the door to allow it to lock.

Your entry code in unique. Please know the locks are pre-programmed for the times on your arrival and departure days. At 11:00am on check out day your door lock code will no longer be valid, and you cannot re-enter once you leave the house.

Parking:
There is no garage access. Please park in the driveway on the right side (left side of driveway is reserved for our downstairs long term tenants). Other than the one driveway spot, you may park on the street – no neighborhood parking permits required.

Wifi:
Network name: Mountain Modern
Password: swag2802

Outdoor Eave Lights:
The outdoor eave lights will turn on automatically at dusk and off at 10pm. If you would like to turn them off before that you can press the “Outdoor Lights Off” button to the right of the fan controls. This will only turn them off when on, and cannot turn the lights on.

Living Room Fan:
The living room fan is controlled with the small black fan remote. The controls on the wall must be turned to all the way “On” (switch flipped to the right and slider all the way up) for the remote to work.

Tenants:
We have long-term tenants in the studio downstairs. It is possible that you may cross paths with them in the laundry room as this is a shared space, but has locking entry doors into the upstairs Air BnB and into their unit downstairs (for more info see laundry section). The tenants are not property managers. If you have any questions please contact us at 502.641.6184 or 714.585.7986

Quiet hours:
Quiet hours start at 10pm. This is a Bend regulation, so please respect our neighbors.

Trash:
If you need to take out trash or recycling during your stay, trash bins are located just to the right of the driveway. Trash day is Thursday. Our permanent downstairs tenants will take the cans out and bring them in on Thursdays. For recycling, the city of Bend will not recycle any of the contents inside of a trash bag, so please empty the trash bag contents into the recycling bin, and throw the empty bag into the regular trash bin. The city of Bend also does not recycle glass with regular recycling. Please place any glass in the blue plastic bin tub between the trash cans, and please ensure any glass items are rinsed out.

TVs:
Streaming is available on all the TVs. You’re welcome to download and log into any additional apps that we may not have. If the primary bed room TV is having trouble connecting to the internet: with the TV on, point the remote at the TV and hold the power button until it resets.

Living Room:
There is a gray blanket on the sofa. When you are not using the sofa please cover the couch side that faces the tv to protect it from the afternoon sun

The sofa has a pull out mattress. Additional sheets and pillows are in the guest room closet. If you use the pull out mattress please remove the sheets after use and leave them on the floor for the cleaners to wash, return the pillows to the master closet, and fold the mattress back into the couch as you originally found it.

There is also an inflatable mattress located in the guest closet. If you use it, please deflate and return to the plastic bin.

Grill:
There is a gas grill available for use on the outside deck. Please read the grill and deck instructions before use →

Storage Locker:
Just to your left before you get to the front door is a storage locker with outdoor gear – inner tubes for floating the river, cooler, etc. The lock combination is 2802. You are welcome to use anything in there, just please dry them before putting the back in.

Hot Tub:
Please shower/rinse off before entering to remove any oils, sunblock, dirt, etc.. $75 fee will apply for abnormal use. $250 fee will apply if the hot tub is determined to be excessively dirty/cloudy and requires draining and refilling (don’t spend a day floating the river or mountain biking, loaded up with sunscreen and hop into the hot tub please). Please read the hot tub instructions before using →

Laundry:
Washer and dryer is available in the room downstairs directly across from the front door. Please read the laundry instructions before using →

An ironing board and drying rack are located in the guest closet.

For kids:
We have a pack and play, high chair, and booster seat available in the coat closet.

Dining room table:
The dining room table is heat sensitive, so please use coasters and placemats. Please read the kitchen info →

Master Bathtub:
Master bathtub has jets and an infinity edge which means the water can be filled to overflow. To use, turn on the hot water and fill the tub all the way to the top and let the water flow over a few inches into the trough. Do not use any cold water because by the time the tub fills, you will use all the hot water and the final temp should be satisfactory. You must overflow it or the jets will not work. On right of the tub, as you sit in the tub, you will find a button between the tub edge and the collection trough. Pressing the button will turn on the jets.

Pond:
The small pond out front is home to many animals, namely frogs and a nice duck couple we named Fred and Ethel. PLEASE do not attempt to catch or feed any of the animals. The pond is sensitive to foreign substances like food and can cause the animals to leave or get sick. Ducks can become human food dependent and aggressive if fed. Aggressive and harassing wild animals are put down by the city so please let our animal friends live and enjoy them from a distance. The deck is a great place to watch them play in the water!

We hope you enjoy your stay and if there is anything we can do to make your stay better please let us know! We want you to be happy!
